I am getting intermittent lip sync issues across all of my apps since upgrading from 2017 4K model to 2022 model. Same settings on both, wired audio, no other changes to the set up. Might just have to switch back to old unit. Was hoping tvOS 16.2 would fix this. The only way to fix it is to restart the Apple TV or go to settings > audio > audio mode and toggle it between auto and 16-bit (issue occurs on both settings, just switching it from one to the other resolves the issue, for a few hours, and then it must be switched again, alternating between the two settings). The first time I did this I thought it was the fox, but issue just comes back after some time. Affects apps like CNBC, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, Showtime, HBO Max, and Apple TV+ / movies.

A lot of times audio sync issues are due to how the TV audio settings are setup on that input the ATV is using not necessarily the ATV audio settings.

Just a thought.

You didn't say what level your Wireless is running like A, B, AC, Wi-Fi -6 or wired? Is this audio going just through the TV audio, a sounder or is either connected Wi0Fi or wired!

Wired gig E, gigabit Google Fiber – not connection related. TV outputs the audio via optical to my Bose system, but I haven’t changed any of that.

I am facing the exact same issue! Also i did not face any issues using my old atv 2017.

I tried the audio sync functionality yesteday (what jwk90 suggests) but here one day later, the audio lip sync is bad again.

I had lip sync issues when I had Match Frame Rate turned on. Turned it off and those issue’s disappeared. This was during tvOS 15. But I’ve had frame rate off since and no lip sync issues.
