How is the SPDIF output on the Mac Pro 4,1 quality?

I recently retired my gaming computer that had a dedicated sound card in it and i am not sure if 1) if it is compatible to mac, and 2) if it is worth putting in my mac for audio.

This is the audio card i have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102021 granted i will NOT be installing the 5.25 inch device if i were to use it.

Anyone have any experience with this card in there mac? Or any experience with SPDIF on there Mac and the sound quality?

This is also the speaker system i have if that matters http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121050 i plan on using the SPDIF connection like i was previously using on my gaming computer

SDIF is a digital out, sound the quality would depend on the D to A converter in your speaker system.
