Maybe this will be an easy question with some easy suggestions that I just haven't stumbled upon yet?
First off -- I use the app "Documents" to carry and organize multiple (mostly self-help type) audio programs along with their accompanying pdf documents and all that.
Most of these audio programs that I listen to would do well to play at 1.5x or 2x their regular speed as the author just speaks through the program.
I can "send to an app" any file inside of Documents to almost any other app that would play that kind of file. I just don't personally know of any media players that have varying speed options.
I've suggested to the Documents app people that they should implement this nice feature inside their own app's player, but that hasn't happened yet.
I know that the built in iOS music app has varying speed options for audiobooks, but I don't have the option send an audio file specifically to the audiobook's section of the Music app within iOS.
I could just organize any audio program I plan to listen to into the audiobooks section of the Music app through iTunes, but that entails lots of iTunes organizing and negates the simplicity of just having things already packaged together nicely inside of the Documents app.
I prefer to have the whole programs organized as they currently are in my Documents app, and with a good secondary media player app I can quickly send an mp3 file to if I'd like to listen to it at a greater speed.
That might have been a lot of words for a simple question. I'd really appreciate any suggestions anyone can give!
Thanks very much!
p.s. - Maybe VLC for iOS had this feature? It's too bad they don't seem to be back in the app store quite yet.
