Audio Out Help

Here is the issue.

I have a logitech speaker system which I just got and it works great on my PC, when I plug it in to the audio output on my macbook [OSX 10.4.11] it only plays from one speaker & the sub. I am aware that the macbook only has one speaker in it but it still should be able to send out what I am trying to listen to.. right?

So can anyone help me figure this out?
