Hi all,

I have an Epson EX5200 projector. I can connect my MBP to it via USB and it shows the images via the projector, but if I want sound to come out through the projector instead of the computer, I need to use an audio cable (one of those ones with the red and white things) and connect those two to the projector, and the other to the audio out port on the MBP. Where IS the audio output on the MBP?

TIA :)

It is a 1/8" TRS headphones connector.

Thank you!! For some reason I thought that was just for audio in or something. So if I get one of those cables and connect the one side through the headphone jack, I should be able to play sound through the speakers on the projector?

With the correct cable, absolutely. Check the Sound pane in System Preferences if you have problems.

This is the cable you are looking for I believe if I read your post right.

Edit: you can go to Radio Shack to get this.

Thank you everyone! Jonbravo, that is exactly the kind of cable I got. Worked perfectly. xkmxkmxlmx, I will also investigate other input forms for the projector. :)
