I have a speaker system plugged in through the headphone jack and have a quick question (new mini owner). When video or audio (music for example) are playing all is well, but when there is neither, the audio seems to cut off. As in system sounds (hitting volume up/down keys for example) dont trigger any sound. Im not sure if this would be a thing of the minis or my boombox its plugged into. There is no such issue if I use the built in mini speakers though.

Does the speaker system have an energy saver feature that could be putting them to sleep when there isn't any sound?
