Audio out to TOSLINK

So I would like to plug my MBP into my speakers, with the best quality being through TOSLINK. I've come across this adapter on Amazon, but I was wondering if anyone had a better solution. Or any experience with this particular adapter, most of the reviews are great, but some claim that the adapter has damaged the audio out jack or doesn't fit properly.
