Does anyone else have constant audio issues in MacOS that are resolved (temporarily) by restarting the Coreaudiod process? It seems to happen every time I switch sound output (e.g. to AirPods, an external display, etc.) and then switch back to my Macbook speakers. It's been like this for quite a while through multiple OS X installs, and is currently happening on 10.15.1. It might even have happened before I got my 2018 MBP (memory is fuzzy on that). So I'm just wondering...is this a widespread issue?

I should also add that sometimes the Coreaudiod relaunch is insufficient and I actually have to kill audio through Terminal to get it to work properly. Restarting is also fine but is obviously a PITA.
