I often set my ring volume to low while at work, but then forget to turn it up when driving or outside and will miss calls.
I Would like to see a feature for audio profiles where users can define criteria when the ringer or app volume should be at different levels. The user could have a default volume level and then define events when the volume should be off, low, medium, or high.
Examples would be like the following.
  • Set default volume for calendar events for meetings. In this case you might want the volume low, but not off.
  • If the phone detects you are driving it could set the text & email volume to low or off, and the ring volume to high.
  • Just because it's not a calendar event you might have other reoccurring events when your phone needs to be quite such as (School, Work, Church, etc.). The user could create an audio profile for each event, set the reoccurring time (start & end time), and the default volumes during this time.
