Hi.

I have just entered the world of Mac computers and recently bought a Mac Retina.

When using my PC I used to record radio programs. I used a piece of software called Total Recorder.

This software is not available on the Mac so I am looking for an equivalent program to allow me to record streaming audio.

I bought a program called iSkysoft Audio Recorder but this does not work, apparently the "virtual sound card" has not installed and iSkysoft's only solution is to reinstall the program which I have done several times to no avail.

So, can someone please recommend an appropriate program to record streaming audio.

Thanks.

YouTubeHunter does it for me most of the times.

Thanks for your reply. Is this, as the name suggests, just for Youtube content?

Audio Hijack Pro.

Works very well.

It's not free, however.

Thanks Fishrrman.

I'm not looking for a free item, happy to pay providing it works.

I'll give this a try and hopefully it replaces the PC equivalent I've been using.

It works for most of the audio/video content.

You can either enter the URL, or enable the auto mode in which it would capture the content in every web page you visit. (the plugin will be installed in Safari/Firefox)
