Audio-Technica ATH-M50X and iPhone 6 without external amp?

Hi,

I just bought Sony mdr-1a and I'm pleased with looks, comfort and sound quality. But I'd like to give Audio-Technica ATH-M50X a try as well. My question is if iPhone 6 is enough to power the 50x?
Sony is 24 ohm and m50x 38 ohm and when I am using the Sony ones I'm at 90% volume. That's why I'm wondering.

Yes. They're 100% powerful enough to drive the audio technicas. To give you an example of a headphone that would actually need an external source - the HD650 has 300 ohms of impedance.
