Audio to text?

id like to watch many videos in the QuickTime player and create a text transcription that I can read later. Is there a built in way in Mac OS for doing this?

I'm not aware that there's a built-in way. If the video has embedded subtitles, it's possible someone's come up with some sort of way – that seems like a trivial programming task.
