audio up and down with vlc,okay with other players

when listening to music with vlc the music seems to go slightly up and down,but not all the way ither way,its annoying and now using mplayer lol.

has this happen to anyone else and wot can i do to solve it. i did reset the settings,but it still the same. and im using mplayer now and its fine,so it has to be vlc?

Do you mean high and low notes or loud and soft volume?

the music plays but it sounds like someone is turning it down slightly and up again,not all the way down or up and its constant.

i might have solved it,i put the vlc volume on half and same with mac volume and powered speakers at about the same,and so far it seems to be working. just dont understand why it has to be this way lol
