If you like comedy, there's some great stuff out there by Ross Noble, Bill Hicks, Eddie Izzard etc.
Or for a comedy series, the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy radio series is available on CD (and probably download) and is really good.

"The Blue Zone" is a good mystery/adventure/suspense novel.
