I have been looking for a way to fast forward through songs and audiobooks without holding the ff arrows.

If you click on the picture itself as the book or song is playing a progress bar drops down and you can drag it to any part of the song or book, similar to the center button on ipods.

Audiobook fast forward--find the fast scroll bar

I have been looking for a way to fast forward through songs and audiobooks without holding the ff arrows.

If you click on the picture itself as the book or song is playing a progress bar drops down and you can drag it to any part of the song or book, similar to the center button on ipods.

I imagine you figured this out ages ago, but for others...
If you touch the screen a bit below the "Back, title and chapter" icons a nice little bar jumps up allowing you to drag through the selected chapter, and it is mucho faster than the FF or RW.

I found it by accident as I was reading this post.

Hope it helps someone.
