iPod touch Audiobooks Play Far Too Fast

I have a new generation I-Touch with the all new software that works perfectly whne playing music. Howeve when paying audiobooks downloadedfrom the i-tines store they play at far to fast a pace. Despite re-sets of all the settings this continues. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i could fix this problem?

There should be a button next to the time bar and it should have "X2" or a different sign. You can then set it to "X1" and it will go at normal pace.
