Hi. I've been using Wiretap for a while to make sound captures from cds. dvds etc to turn into my alerts & sounds on my mac. It's' a free version, and now a voice comes over the top of the finished soundbyte saying 'this is an unregistered copy of wiretap' or something along those lines.

It was also good for converting old standup comedy dvd stuff into audio files to put on my ipod for long journeys...

Guess it must be a trial version or something...

Does anyone know if there's a free, legal alternative where I won't get this message? I mean a completely free one....

Cheers...

Audio Hijack Pro is worth every penny. It has a plethora of recording options including Bookmarkable AAC and iTunes integration.

I've been using handbrake but I am downloading audio hijack now to give it a try.
For ripping the audio off DVDs a lot of DVD ripping programs can do it such as ffmegx.
