Hello, anybody tried the AUKEY USB C to USB 3.0 Adapter on the MBP 2016-18? Does it work well? Any other better product?

I plan to use it on a MBP 2018 under Mac OS, Windows and Ubuntu Linux.

You mean these on Amazon? I have some and they work perfectly on my new 2018 13" MBP and they also worked fine on the 2016 I just traded in.

Yes. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'm using the Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.1 Adapter:

Works very good.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I like Anker products but in this case, the extra wire is a bit of a turn off.

I don't see a big difference between an extra cable or an extra dongle.
Maybe you should look for one new cable without adapter (if you want to connect a external hard drive consider a Mirco-B to USB-C cable).
