I haven't found software specific to it, but anyone have suggestions? I need to connect it later to see if I can just read off it direct but was curious if anyone else has one

As it has a micro USB slot, I would imagine that just connecting it to your Mac will enable it to show up in Finder or iMovie. It records as MOV files in h264, so viewing any files should not be a problem.
