Contrary to what appears to be the typical American opinion of the Get a Mac ads, Australians love them. I showed them to my English class last year and they loved it in Virus when PC falls back. They just seem to relate more.
 
I'm not surprised...the majority of students at the two universities I've attended have Macs. In lectures there's always plenty of glowing Apple logos. If I had to make a guess, I'd say for every 1 PC there are 3 Macs.

I think the fact that the prices have been dropped to reflect the changes in the exchange rate have also helped. A few years ago when compared to the US prices, Macs really did seem over priced here.

Agreed.


And at UoW, the maybe 5-10% of the student population (with laptops) are Macs, while the computer labs are around 67% Macs in some places, while other computer labs have none (e.g. the engineering building).
