Shiiiiit.

I walked pass one of the largest and most spectacular Apple Stores in Australia and found the front of the store completely ravaged.

Talking to the cops, and some of the staff, apparently a van or 4 wheel drive had plowed into the front store that morning causing over $150,000 in damages in terms of stolen goods and damages.

A nearby Night Owl Convenience store worker came over to assess what was happening... was told to leave immediately or be killed.

Anyway, here is a link of some of the photos and a link to some more info.

What do you guys think? Being newly established (4 months or so) I kinda feel sorry for them.

Of interest to locals... Atm there is a huge sign on the front of the store saying... "ACADEMY STORE RAM RAID RENOVATION SALE" .... might be a good time for find a bargain. Mind you thats if they have any stock left. =)
In 10 minutes they couldnt have taken that much.

Wow. First major incident I've heard off. Those glass enclosures can sure be a liability. I hope they catch those 'neandathols'!

Anybody have a MacTalk account?

Have they started using forklifts to steal ATMs yet?

And in 10 minutes, you can take a lot from a store with electronics, or other high price junk.

Of course 2 guys to walk off with $300 thousand in merchandise at a mall store here this past week.

So... I suppose that guy left immediately?

Damned, I was kinda looking forward to watch an innocent man executed on the streets by over zealous cops in the news. :p

I thought you might have been referring to the Apple Centre on Elizabeth St in Melbourne - I went passed the other day and the front window was being replaced.
