$39? We'll likely get 10MB data included in that plan with each additional MB charged at $4.95. I'm still skeptical until we get word from Optus or Vodafone directly. A price means nothing without the length of the contract and the included data/airtime/SMS etc.

Doesn't actually say anything and half of it is false.

Gizmodo AU have some supposedly leaked details from Optus:

iPhone 8GB $220
iPhone 16GB $330

Both are required to be on a plan, no word on pre-pay or outright purchases.

$79 Cap plan 24 months
1GB data
$300 worth of calls/SMS etc.

$99 Cap plan 24 months
3GB data
$400 worth of calls/SMS etc.

Nothing from Voda but Optus has shown it's not willing to be aggressive - bloody typical.

Bummer too pricey for me. I'll have to wait out my optus deposit refund. Hopefully there's an option to buy it outright that's reasonable and/or vodafone come to the party with better deals.

Sounds good, i already overspend with bloody telstra, on my $49 Cap end up paying 117-130 a month so i thinks the $99 will work well for me

July 11th! CANT WAIT!

it seems like optus is waiting for voda, and voda is waiting for optus :(

neither wants to be the first to release details of their plans, cause they feel their competitor will undercut them?

optus/voda hurry up and release your plans!

I've got no choice - it has to Optus.

Vodafone have zero 3G coverage in the Illawarra whilst Optus have pretty much close to 100%.

"Zero 3G coverage" seems to be Vodafone's global strategy

For what it's worth, they haven't announced any pricing over here either, although they've confirmed that there will be a prepay option.
