I'm sure there are a small percentage of Australian users on this forum, and rather than trawling through the main order thread I thought given our seemingly unique situation I'd start a new thread (hope that's ok with the mods).

I say unique because it seems that Apple had allocated 0 stock to Australian online orders. I don't know of anyone that's order has progressed from processing items.

I was one of the customers that ordered as soon as the orders became live just after 2am. So I would presume I'd also be among the first to have theirs shipped.

Reading that a lot of US orders are being delivered etc is somewhat disheartening.

What are the thoughts of the other Australians?

It's frustrating to think I made the effort to stay up until 2am and may not even be in the first lot of people to have it shipped first. Apple have some explaining to do. It's the worst launch possible. Annoying.

Thought this deserves to be bumped to first page for any Australians wondering the same thing. Midday on Monday, and still "processing Items". I'm going to be heading to the brick and mortar store to see if they have any stock after my radio show

(which is on FM99.3 - stream it online www.fm993.com.au between 12 - 2pm sydney time) Shameless...shameless self promotion!

I'm in the same boat, so i decided to pick one up on my trip to NYC next week. I could possibly pick some up for others if you're keen? Just give us a shout and we can organize something. I'm in Sydney.

You might not want to do that... North American phones use different LTE bands. Not sure which LTE bands are in use in Australia - you might get lucky and they might overlap with North American providers, but probably not. Many LTE providers use band 7 (2600mhz) which is not available on North American phones.

Yup, the new phones do have all the aussie LTE bands. I've looked into this :)

They don't have Band 7, but i'm on Vaya and not Telstra anyway so they don't have LTE bands. Which is why i'm not too worried about it.

Wow, congrats. Figured everyone but us were using band 7 mainly...guess it's just a Europe thing! Good luck!

All this has been handled horribly. Apple haven't sent any emails to update us on the situation. Nothing. We get screwed out of Gold and now apple screw us over with no communication

Thanks for the offer. I am on Telstra :) I'm going to go into the stores every morning until my order can't be cancelled. Just been to Chatswood, they haven't had any 5S stock since Friday
