Didn't see a thread about it anywhere, so I thought I'd make one for any tennis fans here on MR. Who do you think is going to get through to finals, win, etc? Who made the biggest breakthrough at this year's Australian Open? Thoughts about anything tournament or tennis related really.
Here's my opinions for singles:
On the men's side, I'd love to see a final of Fernando Gonzales and Andy Roddick, though I doubt that will happen. I think that Federer will win over Roddick, probably in 4 sets. Gonzales has been playing some awesome tennis, and his win over Nadal that I watched today was amazing. He has an great forehand.
For women's, I think we'll see Vaidasova and Clijsters in the final. I was disappointed that Hingis lost to Clijsters, but I expected that Clijsters would win. That would be nice for Clijsters to win this Open, as it's supposedly her last tournament before she retires.
Well, I've said enough; lets here what everyone else thinks.
