Authentication request every time I go to Engadget

Does anyone else get this? I haven't tried this before.

Sometimes, on my MacBook, I also get certificate requests from something that looks like Twitter and Facebook. Anyone else, or is this because I'm based in China and the internet is acting up? It only started happening recently.
