Authorized user trying to buy an iPhone at the Apple Store

I called them several times and they said the account holder must be present, but others said they went and got it done. You think if I head to the store they will do it? BTW I know they are in stock.

You need to be an authorized user. Period. If other people are going in there and buying phones then they either are the account holder and Apple isn't doing their job.

You will need to be the primary account holder to purchase iPhone 3G.

So, judging by this, no, you cannot just be an authorized user. However, some Apple Stores may allow an authorized user to buy, but it wouldn't be in keeping with what their guidelines are on their website.

An At&t store can do it with just an authorized user present. Apple wants the primary account holder as stated above.
