I know you can, like with iTunes song downloads, authorize the apps for up to 5 computers. I must be doing something wrong, so I guess I need a refresher course on how to do this right.
My problem is: I had a 1G iPhones. I bought a new 3G iPhone and gave my wife my iPhone. I then copied over the apps from my old iPhone to my computer and authorized it. Now, every time I'm on my 3G, the App Store says 37 of my apps have updates available. When I compare the version numbers, I see they are all up-to-date. If I download a single "update", the next time I enter the App Store, it says they are all updated. It's like I don't have the authorization to update them.
Did I do something wrong? When I authorize them, I wasn't sure what/who userid and password to enter. I have over 50 apps on my phone and before this, there were regularly multiple updates each week, and since I got the 3G before Christmas, the only apps that have updated are ones I have downloaded since getting the 3G.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
