Just got a new 15"MBP and have noticed that the toggle switch for "auto adjust brightness according to ambient light" is no longer present in the Energy Saver preferences.

How do I control this now?

Also, does the screen brightness I have set using the F2 keys not hold its setting once the computer goes to sleep or is restarted?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you looked in System Preferences > Displays yet? That is where it is for me on my 2009 MBP.

And my screen brightness stays the same if that box is unchecked and I sleep the MBP or have to restart it.

Wow, you guys are fast - you rock!

That's exactly where it is, thanks!
