Hello, noticed that when I was setting up the brightness of the backlight there was an option to turn on auto backlighting, so I switched it on exited and have been using it for a while now.

I have had other phones with this same feature where you can actually see the screen dimming whens it gets dark so as not to blind you and getting brighter when the ambient light level increases so you can clearly see the screen,

However my iphone 4 doesnt really change its level unless i manually change it in the settings.

Anyone else noticed this, I noticed it the most when I was in bed last night and the screen was so bright.

The screen resets it's brightness everytime you unlock it. So if you feel it's too bright, lock and unlock the phone, and it should dim. The screen will automatically brighten if it's at a dimmer setting, but it won't automatically dim the screen.
