iPhone XS Max Auto brightness - Does it work well for you when you step in and out of the car?

Apple devices have always been top notch in terms of auto brightness for me. Whether getting in and out of a car or turning off the lights at night right before going to sleep, I rarely have to mess with the brightness settings manually. The only small niggle i have is that it takes a little longer to decrease brightness when neeeed, but it increases brightness really quick when needed.
