I was curious if anyone else experiences the same issue. I have my settings to auto-check for mail every 15 mins, but my iphone only does this some of the time.

I have two accounts set up (one IMAP for gmail, the other POP). If I turn off and turn on my phone, it seems to check for mail every 15 mins for a couple hours or so (mail comes in, within 15 mins I get the alert).

If I go longer without restarting, I can open up my mailbox (which will manually force the iphone to go out and look for mails) and I will receive 20 at once, some from hours ago.

Is this an issue with my handset, or are more of you experiencing this?

I'm having the EXACT same issue. Hopefully someone has a fix for this.

Interesting, so turning Data Roaming on fixes it.

If you guys live in America, there should be no worries.
