auto converting video files when downloaded

is there any way I can set up my mac so that when ever lets say I download a free video off a torrent that it is automatically converted to mp4 and put into itunes. Maybe like an automator visual hub script. Any suggestions would be appreciated

The only one that I know of that comes close is called Convert Movie for iPod

You may want to check Doug's site if something else fits the bill.

Update: I found this one too but it requires that you have Quicktime Pro. It's called Drop to Make M4V Movies

Could you use Folder Actions?

thanks for the quick responses, the folder action idea sounds good, I could have all the videos downloaded to that folder then run a script (hopefully visual hub because its faster than quicktime in my experiences) to convert and add the video.

EDIT: after some searching further I think I found what I was looking for on some random thread from here
