Hi,
Some time back I asked if anyone had any idea why my Seagate Firewire Drive was either self-ejecting during "sleep" or just not coming back online. I use the drive for Time Machine.
At the time, I thought I hadn't done anything that might have caused the issue to start. That was wrong. I had installed Google Drive per a requirement to get some files from the company system.
As soon as I realized that Google Drive was a new factor, installed around the time of the problem starting, I deleted it totally from my system.
Since doing that, my TM drive has worked flawlessly. I have no idea why these seem to be related but that's the way the issue has been resolved.
