Auto fill 2FA codes

I am pulling my hair out of this one... I had to wipe my Mac Studio due to some issues... and have been reinstalling software all afternoon... but now the prompt to autofill the 2FA codes (6-digit numeric codes texted to my Messages) are not working... I have looked everywhere for that setting (except, obviously, where ever it's hiding).

Anyone know where that is and how to resolve this?

Yes, they are... and I have Messages forwarded to the Mac Studio...

frustrating for sure...

It should just work. My guess is that you might have an extension that overriding the behavior.

Yeah, like with most things Apple, turned off the messaging forward, rebooted my phone, turned messaging forward back on, rebooted Mac and phone, and just like magic, everything works like it's supposed to...

Thanks for trying... truly appreciate it... but, oh how I long for "It's Apple, it just works".
