iPhone Auto join hotspot not working

Hi all

has anyone else got the above working? Both my iPhone and iPad are running the latest iOS public beta. The iPad has auto-join hotspot set to automatic, and it’s showing my iPhone in the person hotspot section. However, it has not auto-joined (no Wi-Fi available).

has anyone seen it work?

It's buggy as hell. Sometimes I can make it work, no clue how, I just turn on flight mode on and off and meddle with the settings and then out of nowhere it works. Sometimes I even get an error "can't connect to the hotspot" but then the connection is established.
