I have a MacPro that does some automatic routines without user input. Because of this I need the computer to login automatically on startup. In El Capitan this was not a problem. In Sierra the setting is not being remembered. In System Preferences the option shows turned on but I had to enter my password. I have to turn it back off. log out then turn it back on and it will work maybe once or twice more then it stops working again. I do not have it ask for password after sleep so this is never a problem. This only happens at startup.
