Hi Folks,
Quite simple really.
I've had a MBP for a year now.
I've just got a 24" iMac.

As you'd expect, I'd like to get the two networked as easily as I can.

Question:
What is the best/easiest way to be able to turn on my iMac and have my MBP hard drive sitting as a shared drive?
In other words - at the moment, I have to turn on the iMac, go to finder > Network > connect > select MBP > hit enter (details in keychain).
I'm looking for that to be done when I turn the iMac on.

I've had a quick look in automator, and nothing appears "obvious".

Is there a simpler (automated) way?

Cheers,
Steve.

Once you've once mounted the drive(s) [manually], open up System Preferences...->Accounts->[your account]->Login Items and drag the mounted drive icon(s) to that list.

They'll mount automatically next time you boot/log in, assuming they're available.

Aha! I actually thought of that, but was stopped during my train of thought!
I'll restart and try that now!
