I was wondering if anyone knew how I could turn on/off my computer automatically. I have a Santa Rosa Mac Book Pro. Thanks in advance.

System Preferences --> Energy Saver.

Hit the "Schedule..." button in the lower right corner.

(This is on Tiger...Leopard may be different, but I'd expect something similar.)

Edit: Way too slow with the screen shot and all... :eek:

thanks! how does the computer know what time it is, even though it is off?

Computers generally have backup batteries (frequently called "PRAM batteries") to retain this information when the computer is off.
