Hi

I have this really annoying problem when deleting files from a folder.

If I scroll down in a folder, and start deleting files, it automatically scrolls to the top of the folder, and I lose track and have to scroll back down.

It's really annoying, when I have a folder with many files, and need to delete some of them.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Thanks Charlie!

It's sad to hear, there isn't a "real" solution to this problem...

Oh well...

Do you have the Finder window open to List view, sorted by Modification Date? This would explain why the contents are jumping around. In this scenario, you'd activate the disclosure triangle of a folder to see its contents, then as soon as you delete something out of it, its modification date is effectively changed to today, so Finder bubbles it to the top of the list.

If that's what's happening, change your sort method or double click a folder to gain access to its contents instead of using the disclosure triangle.
