Ok, so I'm not sure about other externals, but after having my Lacie d2 quadra for months, I still can not find what the power switch being set to Auto does.
Whenever I'm done using it for whatever, I eject it. The blue light stays on, whether its on Auto or On. And it stops making any noise when I eject it, in both Auto and On.
I just do not see any noticeable difference. I was reading the booklet and it said something about auto hibernate and something else, but that didn't really explain it to me.
I know, it's a really stupid question, but I'm baffled.
