Hi,
Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but what is the best way to auto-unmount certain volumes (particular partitions, not entire drives) at startup (for 10.4.6)?? Currently I have 5 volumes at startup... on a 1024x768 14" iBook screen!! Volumes are Macintosh HD, two partitions for my external FW drive, and two partitions for my awesome Sony-Ericsson W810 (internal phone memory + memory stick duo).
What is the best way to auto-unmount? Automator? AppleScript? Any links or already made scripts?
Thanks in advance for any help.
EDIT: Either at Mac OSX login or when items are connected to the computer would be very useful for me. It would be great if at the moment I plug in the phone, only one of the two volumes gets mounted. Currently I manually unmount unneeded volumes via Disk Utility, but this is slow.
