This weekeend I instaled windows XP SP2 and AUTOCAD 2008 on my MacBook Pro 13" (4 Gb of RAM). I used Parallels 4.0. I tried several configurations for my VM. At this moment my VM is "working" with 2 processores and 5Gb of virtual memory (maximum 8Gb).

During the first 10/40 minutes (depends) AUTOCAD is incredibly fast. But then, starts to slow down and it becames a nigthmare. I only use 2D.

The nigthmare "thing" appens when laptop starts to heat up and fans to work like there's no tomorrow. This could be the problem? If yes, how can I resolve it?

Normaly, I need to work with autocad virtualy because I have to check other documents during work.

A reply to my self

The problem could be resolved.

The VM is working only wiht 1 processor. With this change I managed to reduce the overheating. For now is doing ok.

Did some one had the same problem?
