I am a hoping that someone can help me with this issue. First I am new to the apple world as well as posting a question in a forum.

I have a new 27 inch iMac with the following:

3.4 GHz i7 core
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
ADM Radeon HD 6970M 2048MB

I am running OSX Lion 10.7
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on boot camp partition
Parallels 6.0

All system are working great and I am able to run AutCAD 2011 both directly in boot camp and in parallels.

My issue is the following - My files are organized by project for the most part (I am an architect). Each project folder contains various file types. I want to keep all my data files in the mac HD partition. However, AutoCAD running in boot camp will not open the files stored in the mac partition - message indicates that the file name has unsupported characters. The exact same file stored on a NAS can be opened. In addition if I copy the file to the windows desktop it will also open.

How can I get AutoCAD to open the files on the mac HD partition. I want to be able to open cad files either in boot camp or in parallels and store them in the mac partition.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thank You
