At my workplace, we have 5 workstations (all using mac desktops). All the names for these computers were perviously unorganized and disoriented, so I wanted to name them "computer1", "computer2", "computer3" and so on, with the passwords being along a similar format. I changed the names of these computers, as well as the shared names so they would appear as "computer1", "computer2", "computer3" etc over the network.
I got the names for the computers and the network names to change, but every time I'm prompted to fill in my username and password, the old username for the computer autofills. The new password works for this username, as well as when i reenter the new username manually. Even when I refill it manually, it automatically autofills with the old username next time as well.

Does this mean that I haven't officially changed the name of the computer, or is it just still being told to autofill with the old username that is no longer the real name? Is there a way to fix this?

EDIT: Would I need to change the short name?
