hi there,

In a couple apps (spark, Expensify), when I type a subject line that gets autocorrected, upon hitting save/send, the original, incorrectly typed subject gets sent, not the corrected one. For example, in Spark, if I compose an email with the subject line “teat”, it gets autocorrected to “test”. But the receiver of the email sees “teat” as the subject line.

Anyone else with this issue? Any thoughts on how to fix?

Thanks...

iOS 12.0 (problem has been happening for 6 months now)
iPhone 6s
Not jailbroken

I'm using iPhone 6 w iOS 9.3.5 and Spark autocorrects the subject line and sends it perfectly. Just tried it.
I know that's not much help, but Spark can work correctly.

does auto correct work properly with other apps? maybe reinstall those affected apps?

Hi all, thanks for the replies. Yeah, it’s strange. Just reinstalled spark, but the problem persists... autocorrect works in most other apps in most other circumstances, but just a few apps in subject-line type text boxes, it has this strange error. And it especially sucks for it to be the subject line of my email app. I’ve been sending crap subjevt lines for the past 6 months. Ugh.
