Have iPhone 13 Mini running iOS 26.1.
Tried using autofill email & password for the first time. Website is ca.dmv.gov.
1) Tapped into email field, got option to select Paste or AutoFill (see screenshot).
2) Selected AutoFill, got option to select Contact, Passwords, or Credit Card. Selected Passwords.
3) iPhone did FaceID, then opened Passwords for me, and said "Choose a Password to Autofill".
4) Tapped on entry for dmv.ca.gov (I registered an account on my Mac, so it's accessing the email and password I created there). Instead of returning me to the original screen with that email and pwd autofilled, it just opened up a new screen with that password in it, along with a "No issues found" notice, but it did nothing else.
What am I missing?
Edit: I figured it out. You need to do steps 1-3, and then tap specifically on the email address. That will take you back to the main screen and autofill the email. Then you go to the password field and repeat that entire process, except this time for the password.
This is remarkably clunky, especially compared to MacOS, where it automatically recognizes the website, you click to confirm, and it autofills both the email and password together.
