I know the URL/Search Bar will autofill if you begin typing in it.

But if I want to get put a URL or other text from a web page I happen to be on, I have to highlight it, then copy, and paste it into the URL/Search Bar.

In Windows, when you highlight a URL or text, it automacally fills the URL/Search Bar; is there a way to do that in OS X Safari?

Thank you

Select the text, right-click and click the option that begins with "Search with". If you select a URL beginning with "http://" there will be an option labeled "Go to Address".

Thanks; I did figure that out, but you need to right click the highlighted text, whereas on a Windows PC, all you have to do is highlight the text, and it automatically appears in the URL/Search Bar without having to right click.

Just wondering if OS X has a setting so it would do the same as a PC.
