autofill working on iphone but not on ipad

i just bought a new ipad and for some reason the passwords won't get filled automatically , even tho i've set it up the same way as my iphone

on iphone i get a prompt to use my credentials

on ipad however , i need to manually click on the password icon and choose amongst the acccounts i wanna use , manually selecting it

has anyone encountered such an issue ?
