How would the app know at what point to flip?

I don't know of anything for the Mac that will do this, but there are two very good tablet apps (one for iOS and one for Android) that can both do this. (I've never used the iOS app, but I know people who have and did get the auto turn working. I use the Android tablet app and although I haven't used it, it does have an auto-scroll feature.)

Although I haven't personally done it, you can tell it when to flip based on the time signature and tempo of the score. If you know how fast the beat is (usually written at the beginning of the piece), and how many bars of music are on a page, then you can enter this information into the app and it can predict when the page needs to be turned.

It's something I never would have thought of, but I guess it is just math, and probably consistent enough most times to work well enough.
