Automatic backups to iCloud stopped 2 weeks ago

My phone is an iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 16.3.1.
Today I noticed a red badge on my settings app indicating that the phone has not backed up to iCloud for to 2 weeks.
This has not happened before in the 1.5 years that I've had the phone.
iCloud storage left is plenty, I've only used 8.7 GB out of 50 GB.
I've verified my backup settings, they are correct.
Has anyone else had this occur?

I'd really like to get more insight on this, as it makes me nuts when things don't work as they should.

I don't know whether to continue to fix this or wait for an update to do so?
